Chrysler has released photos and info for the upcoming 2011 Dodge Journey which will be arriving at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealers soon!. They have completely redesigned the interior, as well as retuned the suspension and adding the Pentastar V6 into the mix. It will still be available in Front Wheel or All Wheel Drive versions.

The addition of the Pentastar V6 will increase power by 20% over the previous engine, coming in at 283 HP and 26 lb-ft of torque.

Chrysler Group Engineers reduced noise, vibration and harshness by installing new, premium sound-deadening treatments and insulation throughout the vehicle. The Engineers also improved routine ride handling by re-engineering the suspension geometry, using better tires, and redesigning the steering for a more precise and coordinated response.

Overall, customers will be treated to an energetic, fun-to-drive experience behind the wheel. I can’t wait til we get one in stock so we can test this out for ourselves against the 2010 models.

A larger instrument cluster has an EVIC, (standard electronic vehicle information center) in the center of the new gauges. It’s a full-color display backlit in Dodge red lights, giving it a subtle glow unlike anything else in its segment. New, integrated center stack bezels are less angular and more sculpted, and designers softened the radius to make more room for the driver’s knees. The heating and cooling outlets are also redesigned to make them look and function better than ever before.

It’s good to see Dodge really listening to their customers and giving them what they want! The new Journey interior looks great and I can’t wait to see it in person! It should be arriving at Dodge Dealers soon!
