Today we bring you another edition of the Brandl Media Minute. Follow along with yours truly as I go through the steps needed to pair up your phone into your Media Center radio.

Now, remember to make sure that your phone is compatible by going to Dodge.com/Uconnect as well as making sure that your Media Center radio is equipped with Uconnect connectivity. (Just because there’s a Uconnect button DOES NOT mean that your radio has Uconnect! The only to truly tell is to push the voice button to see if it’s supported.)

It may seem intimidating at first, but trust us, it’s extremely easy! Unlike the other processes we’ve helped you with, this task uses only the on-board Voice Command System. So all you need to do is press the Uconnect button and follow the steps outlined in the video.

Today we bring you another edition of the Brandl Media Minute. Follow along with yours truly as I go through the steps needed to navigate using your Media Center 730N (RER) radio. In this episode I show you how to set your home address, use the “Guide Me Home” function, as well as how to navigate to a specific address using the built in Navigation system.

We will also be covering how to pair up your phone with the Media Center Radios, as we did in the past with the Uconnect 8.4 Radio in the all new 2011 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300, as well as the 2011 Dodge Journey.

June 29, 2011 9:44 AM- As more automotive manufacturers provide drivers with more electronic features and improved in-vehicle connectivity, expect to see a legislative effort to try to keep the roads safe from distracted driving.

In the latest installment, Schuster talks about what we can expect in vehicle connectivity, and what Chrysler Group is doing to ensure its Uconnect and related systems are intuitive and lets drivers stay focused on the road ahead.

As a reminder, in December 2009, Chrysler Group implemented a company-wide policy that prohibits employees and contractors from texting while driving.

Take a look behind the scenes of  Chrysler Group‘s early and extensive testing and validation process for ease of use of the new UConnect advanced hands-free communication system. The system is currently in the Dodge Journey, Charger and the Chrysler 300. It offers users the opportunity to use their mobile devices wirelessly via bluetooth to make phone calls, stream music, and a host of other great features. Certain radios also offer navigation, as well as being able to control the climate inside of the vehicle! Check out the video above to see some of the extensive research and development that went into making the Uconnect radio system so user friendly.

The Dodge brand and Mopar are making it easier than ever for owners to connect with their vehicles, giving electronic information at their fingertips with a free, new smartphone application.

The new Mopar apps provide vehicle operation, maintenance and warranty information, as well as product feature video demonstrations, connections with fellow owners via the company’s brands on social media sites and access to customer care and 24-hour road-side assistance. Because the system is digital, it also allows Dodge to make updates to the “electronic” owner’s manual in real-time.

Dodge vehicles feature the latest technology to keep our active customers connected and on the move,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO — Dodge Car Brand. “This is an example of how we are better connecting with our Dodge owners, responding to their needs and growing our relationship with them.”

New Dodge Durango and Charger owners can now download vehicle information applications to select personal smartphones. The new Mopar feature, developed by Michigan-based Tweddle Group, is designed to support vehicles in the U.S. market. The applications will first be available for iPhone and later for BlackBerry and Android devices on major mobile carriers. Applications for the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan will be available in mid-January 2011.

Dodge’s new vehicle-information application is part of our company’s customer care initiatives and creates a convenient, on-demand channel of communication with our customers,” said Pietro Gorlier, President – Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care, Chrysler Group LLC. “This communication will enhance customer experience with a source for owners and potential owners to learn about Dodge products.”

Mopar and Dodge Smart Phone Apps

Last year, Chrysler Group was the first automotive company to replace traditional, bulky owner manuals with DVDs and user guides. This year, the company is introducing the industry’s first smartphone vehicle-information application. Information that used to be stuffed into the glove box will now be at your fingertips.

In addition to general vehicle information including vehicle operation, maintenance and warranty, this new app offers product-feature video demonstrations, connections with fellow owners via the company’s brands on social media sites, and access to customer care and 24-hour road-side assistance.

“With our vehicle-information app, we are taking customer care to a new level by creating a convenient, on-demand channel of communication with our customers,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar®, Chrysler Group LLC. “Creating this new channel of communication will enhance the customer experience. And it’s a great example of how we can add value to our vehicles and build brand identity. This new app will also be a source for potential customers to learn about our vehicles.”

Look for the Chrysler apps where you normally go to get your apps, such as the iPhone store or the Android Market.
