Today we bring you another edition of the Brandl Media Minute. This week we’re working with a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland.  LT the Media Manager gives you the rundown on the the 730N Media Center Radio.

This radio is equipped with Sirius Traffic as well as Sirius Travel Link, which allows you to locate gas stations and check prices as you drive. But that’s not all it does! It can also check local and national weather, sports scores, ski reports and more!

Stay tuned as we will be doing more Brandl Media Minute Videos, explaining more of the great things these vehicles can do! If you have any questions about how to operate any of the features on your Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Vehicle, or have suggestions on other topics we should cover, send me an email at

Thanks to everyone that’s checked out the Brandl Media Minute so far! This is our 25th edition! Thanks again for checking out Chrysler Catchall!

Today we bring you another edition of the Brandl Media Minute. Follow along with yours truly as I go through the steps needed to navigate using your Media Center 730N (RER) radio. In this episode I show you how to set your home address, use the “Guide Me Home” function, as well as how to navigate to a specific address using the built in Navigation system.

The RER radio can be found in many Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Vehicles, including but not limited to the Ram 1500, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the all new Chrysler 300. See your local Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer for more details.

If you have the 430N or any of the other navigation radios found in Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Vehicles and feel left out, rest assured we will get to you soon! We will also be covering how to pair up your phone with the Media Center Radios, as we did in the past with the Uconnect 8.4 Radio in the all new 2011 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300, as well as the 2011 Dodge Journey.

With all this technology, it’s easy to get distracted when you’re behind the wheel. Here’s what Chrysler Group LLC and Jeff Schuster with J.D. Power & Associates recently had to say about this issue:

June 29, 2011 9:44 AM- As more automotive manufacturers provide drivers with more electronic features and improved in-vehicle connectivity, expect to see a legislative effort to try to keep the roads safe from distracted driving.

That’s the prediction from J.D. Power & Associates‘ Executive Director of Automotive Intelligence Jeff Schuster. In the video above, our Betty Carrier-Newman continues her conversation with Schuster on a range of current auto industry topics.

In the latest installment, Schuster talks about what we can expect in vehicle connectivity, and what Chrysler Group is doing to ensure its Uconnect and related systems are intuitive and lets drivers stay focused on the road ahead.

As a reminder, in December 2009, Chrysler Group implemented a company-wide policy that prohibits employees and contractors from texting while driving.

Chrysler released a video yesterday afternoon that goes into depth about their TPMS system that is equipped on most newer Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Vehicles. TPMS means Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which is the series of sensors located inside the tire that communicates with the vehicles computer, telling drivers when the pressure has dropped in one of the four tires.

Chrysler explains not only the operation of their TPMS system, but also offers some tips for how to keep your tires properly inflated to the correct pressure, as well as explaining how to obtain proper pressure on the Ram 2500. With the Ram 2500, the proper air pressure will vary from 45 to 70 psi, depending on whether the truck is empty or loaded down.

In other news, it appears Chrysler has addressed the issues iPhone users have been having with the 730N radio (RER).

Previously, users had intermittent connectivity when using Bluetooth to connect their iPhone 4 to a RER radio. The software upgrade is designed to eliminate any “disconnects” and give customers uninterrupted service.

The software upgrade is covered under the 3-year/36,0000-mile warranty, and possibly under some service contracts. For specific details in your case and to schedule an appointment to upgrade your 730N radio (RER) for the iPhone 4 compatibility issues, contact your local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® or Ram dealer.
