The advertising campaign begins with the return of the USA Today cover wrap – a full four-page advertisement that was an integral part of the launch of the vehicle one year ago. This year’s ad lauds the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as “The Most Awarded SUV Ever.”

Television commercials highlight the awarded Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit model with its leather interior testing that is better than the Lexus RX350, as well as the vehicle’s impressive 500-mile-per-tank driving range that delivers better highway fuel economy than the Honda Pilot EX – taking a new approach to celebrating this highly lauded vehicle.

The comprehensive campaign will complement the broadcast creative and speak to the luxurious interior of the Overland Summit and the 500-mile driving range of the new Pentastar V-6 engine. Media placement elements include network and cable television teamed with a full digital and social media strategy and CRM efforts. Creative efforts were developed by Global Hue, Southfield, Mich., the Jeep brand’s lead advertising agency.

The verdict is in, The Dodge Challenger has won the Automotive Loyalty Award in the Sports Car Category for 2010 at the 15th Annual Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards. Not familiar with the awards? Polk breaks them down for you below.

The Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are based on actual model-year purchase/lease activity and recognizes manufacturers for superior performance in owner retention—a critical aspect of building and maintaining market share. Owners of these manufacturers had such a positive overall experience that they came back to buy another vehicle of the same model, make, or manufacturer. The Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are the only fact-based awards in the industry based on owner loyalty. Awards are based on actual consumer transactions, with over 4.5 million household records per year being analyzed to determine the winners and information obtained from state registration and lease transaction information.

The people over at Dodge are very excited about the award, almost as excited as they are for the 2011 Challengers to be unleashed unto Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealers all over the world. Here’s what the people over at Dodge had to say about their win.

It’s been three years since the Challenger came screaming into the market, and it’s been drawing customers since the beginning. The sports car segment is known for its rabid loyalty, and it says a lot that muscle-car lovers, both new and old, are choosing the Challenger.

And why not? Even the base Challenger is delivering on its bold visual muscle-car styling with a new lighter aluminum 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that cranks out 305 horsepower. That’s 55 more horsepower than last year’s model. We’ve also improved the braking and suspension changes for even greater handling.

With the great styling, upgraded powertrain and improved handling, the 2011 Dodge Challenger also has some great performance-driven exterior enhancements. Larger 18-inch aluminum wheels which now come standard on the Challenger and give it a more athletic stance with wider tires. The Dodge Challenger SE with the new Rallye package offers the all-new Super Sport Group, which provides new five-spoke 20 x 8-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels and even wider low-profile tires. And for those of you who’ve been bitten by the nostalgia bug, Challenger’s iconic bright racing-style fuel-filler door and dual chromed exhaust tips are now standard on all models.

We’ve also hit the Challenger with an awesome interior upgrade. We’ve added new precision steering, a new steering wheel with a fistful of great features and redesigned the seats to be more comfortable with a great premium feel.
