The new 2011 Jeep® Compass is an evolution of a legendary bloodline. It was born, heart and soul, from the core Jeep brand values of freedom, adventure, 4X4 capability and iconic beauty.
Even with such a deep-rooted family tree, the Jeep Compass has emerged as a bold spirit capable of carving out its own destiny and taking on a personality that is youthful, free and embodies a brave American spirit. It is that confidence, independence and freedom that are captured in the new advertising campaign called, “Bloodline.” The new advertising campaign makes its debut this evening on local and national broadcast channels across the country.
“The new 2011 Jeep Compass boasts stunning new styling, with cues coming directly from the brand’s premium icon – the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Because Compass and Grand Cherokee share this premium design – while offering legendary Jeep capability – our new ‘Bloodline’ campaign makes perfect sense, and allows us to demonstrate that Compass is a progressive, fun-to-drive vehicle targeted to consumers that share the passion of the Jeep brand.”
-Mike Manley, President and CEO
Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC
“Bloodline” showcases the Jeep Compass as it masters both urban and off-road adventures – staying true to the brand’s legendary heritage. The campaign also features the illustrious bloodlines of father-daughter athletes, Muhammad and Laila Ali and father-son actors, James and Scott Caan, all of whom have ascended to greatness in their own right.

The all-new Dodge Durango is a shared winner of MotorWeek’s 2011 Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Large Utility. The award was given to both the Durango and the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Every year for the last 30 years, MotorWeek has reviewed the state of the automotive business and judged the best new trucks of the year. Dodge Brand President and CEO accepted the award for the new Durango at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show.
“The Dodge team is truly honored that MotorWeek has selected the Dodge Durango for a Drivers’ Choice Award,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO—Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “The Durango represents where the Dodge brand is going with its six new or refreshed products for 2011 — striking vehicles that are thoroughly engineered and fun to drive. It’s always rewarding when third party sources recognize that we’re creating quality products that will delight our customers.”
The annual Drivers’ Choice Awards looks at vehicles from a buyer’s point of view. Scoring takes into account trends, innovations, value and reliability to produce a list of winners that makes sense and can be used as a practical guide for car shopping.
“The team that worked on Durango really put their hearts into creating an SUV with a soul,” Gilles added. “When consumers get behind the wheel, they’ll experience a performance-tuned SUV that has the interior spaciousness of a crossover, still delivers best-in-class towing and starts under than $30,000. It’s a tremendous package.”
With its sleek exterior design, modern, spacious interior, world-class suspension dynamics and intelligent and fuel-efficient and powerful powertrain options, the all-new 2011 Dodge Durango delivers driving excitement and refinement combined with the interior flexibility of a three-row SUV. The Durango’s new unibody structure is more than 25 percent stiffer than the vehicle it replaces, making it a driver’s SUV that delivers impressive on-road handling. The new Durango also delivers best-in-class towing capability of 6,200 lbs. with the V-6 engine and 7,400 lbs. with the V-8 engine.
The starting U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the all-new 2011 Dodge Durango, Express model, is $29,195 for the rear-wheel-drive and $31,195 for the all-wheel-drive (excluding an $850 destination charge).

If you’re not one of the fortunate few who are able to get a close-up look at the legendary Dodge Challenger when they are being made — don’t worry. National Geographic has you covered.
Earlier this month, National Geographic Channel kicked off its seven-stop Ultimate Factories Tour — with two of its stops taking a look at Dodge vehicles.
On Feb. 3, the series stopped at the Brampton, Ont., plant where the Dodge Challenger is made. The episode has already aired several times. Check your local listings to see when it airs in your area.
In addition, the expanding muscle car market is going to be “Green With Envy” as the Dodge brand announced a first-time, limited production run of the 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic and SRT8® 392 models featuring Green With Envy exterior color.
Both Dodge Challenger models are improved for 2011 and deliver more of what American muscle-car enthusiasts want — unmistakable design, powerful HEMI® V-8 engines with new technologies and world-class handling and braking. Executed with quality and precision, the two new Challenger Green With Envy models provide an extra dose of exclusivity.
“We’re using Green With Envy on the new 2011 Dodge Challengers to pay tribute to some of the coolest paint colors from our past, including the “Sublime” and “Green Go” Dodge Challengers from the 1970’s and more recently, the “Snakeskin Green” Vipers from 2008-2010Not only will this exclusive heritage color remain unique to the Dodge brand, it adds another fresh and exciting element to our modern American muscle coupe.”

The Ram Truck Brand today announced that it would launch a new Ram 1500 model aimed squarely at first-time buyers and owners who are looking for a vehicle with performance and style that they can customize and make their own.
The as-yet-to be-named Ram 1500 model has been developed under the code name “Adventurer,” and borrows the formula of the highly acclaimed 2011 Ram Tradesman.
The Ram Tradesman — unveiled Feb. 9, at the Chicago Auto Show — is a value-priced, HEMI®-powered Ram 1500 regular cab truck that appeals to a cost-conscious, new-vehicle buyer who doesn’t want to give up performance and capability. The unnamed new Ram 1500, like the Ram Tradesman, offers buyers a standard HEMI V8 engine with its 20 mpg rating for the same price competitors are charging for their V6 engines.
“We know we have the formula right,” said Ram Truck President and CEO Fred Diaz. “Now we just need a great name that promotes pride of ownership. This new Ram model will be an attractive alternative for a younger or first-time buyer looking for performance at an affordable price. Case in point, it will have more horsepower and a lower base price than our competitors’ entry-level performance cars with the added benefit of versatility and capability.”
Ram Truck executives had planned to introduce the new Ram 1500 model later in the 2011 calendar year, but based on an overwhelming response to the Ram Tradesman, pulled ahead launch plans and opened the dealer ordering process with only a code name – Adventurer – to work with.
“This is going to be a great-looking, sports truck.” added Diaz. “A buyer will be able to drive off in a new HEMI-powered Ram Truck with money left over for other things, like Mopar accessories. There’s nothing in the market – and that includes other trucks, as well as cars — that can compete with this truck’s blend of style, exhilarating performance and value.”
